Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Tight Squeeze In
The DNR isn't kidding about that narrow entrance drive. If you're towing anything wider than a 16-footer, take it slow and watch your mirrors — branches will find your trailer. Not the place to bring a big rig.
Five Spots, Period
With only five trailer spots, you're gambling if you show up after 8 AM on a summer Saturday. This is a small UP lake, though, so weekday mornings you'll likely have the place to yourself.
Single Lane Simplicity
One lane means if someone's struggling on the ramp, you're just sitting there. The upside is Lake Angeline doesn't get hammered with traffic, so backups are rare outside of opener weekend.
Quiet Water Gem
This is a go-to if you want solitude over convenience. It's no-frills compared to what Van Riper offers on Lake Michigamme, but that's exactly the point — small lake, minimal pressure, and you're fishing water most people drive right past.
