Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Small Boats Only
This is a tiny lake with a single-lane ramp — think 14-footers and under, canoes, and kayaks. Don't bring anything big up here; you'll regret the turnaround.
Bass Factory
The bass fishing here is genuinely stupid good. Evenings especially — you can pull 15-20 smallish largemouth in a session without trying very hard. Nothing trophy-sized, but nonstop action.
Seven Spots, No Rush
Only seven trailer spots, but the lake gets so little pressure it rarely matters. Even on a Saturday morning in July you'll likely have the place to yourself or share it with one other boat.
Old-School Ramp
This launch dates back to 1958 and it feels like it. The concrete is weathered and the approach is basic gravel. Fine for light rigs, but take it slow — it can be a little uneven near the waterline.
UP Hidden Gem
Tucked away in Marquette County with minimal signage to guide you in. Know your route before you head out — GPS sometimes gets squirrelly on these backroads. Once you're there though, it's quiet, scenic, and about as peaceful as it gets.
