Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Small & Quiet
This is a true hidden gem — tiny lake, one lane, and rarely more than a couple trucks in the lot. If you want solitude on the water, this is your spot.
Trailer Lot Fills Fast
Twelve trailer spots sounds like enough until a holiday weekend hits. By 8 AM on a summer Saturday, you might be parking creative. Weekdays are no problem at all.
Watch Your Draft
The ramp area can get shallow, especially late summer. If you're running anything bigger than a 16-footer with a deep keel, take it slow backing in and check the water depth at the end of the concrete before committing.
Crystal Lake Confusion
Locals call this Crystal Lake, and there's another well-known Crystal Lake up in Benzie County. Make sure your GPS is pointed at the right one — Mason County, off the smaller back roads. Signage isn't the best getting in here.
