Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Shallow & Fickle
This lake is genuinely shallow, and water levels bounce around a lot through the season. Mid-to-late summer you might find yourself dragging your hull through muck near the ramp. Stick to smaller, lighter boats — this isn't the place for deep-V hulls.
Hard To Find
Getting here the first time is an adventure. Signage is minimal once you leave the main roads, and GPS can get squirrelly out in this part of Mason County. Screenshot the directions before you lose cell signal.
Five Spots, That's It
With only five trailer spots and a single lane, there's zero margin on a Saturday morning. That said, pressure on this lake is light enough that you're unlikely to get shut out unless a group planned the same trip.
Warm Water Warning
The water gets bathtub-warm by July, and with a resident goose and duck population, swimmer's itch is a real concern. Great for paddling and panfishing, but I wouldn't plan a swimming day here.
