Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Name Is Misleading
Don't let the launch name fool you — this puts you on Martiny Lake, not Big Evans. If you're plugging it into GPS, search for Martiny Lake or you might end up on a wild goose chase down the wrong dirt road.
Small But Scenic
One lane and 15 trailer spots, so this is a weekday-morning kind of launch if you want zero hassle. Saturday mornings in summer you could easily find it full — there's no real overflow option nearby.
Dock Fishing Works
There's a dock here that's actually worth fishing from if you don't feel like launching. Nice spot to wet a line or let the kids cast while you rig up the boat.
Keep It Small
Martiny Lake is modest water, so this isn't the place for your 21-foot walleye rig. Smaller aluminum boats and kayaks are the sweet spot. The single lane can get tight with anything wide.
