Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Tiny Lot, Plan Ahead
Four trailer spots — that's it. If you're not camping at the campground, you'll likely find them taken on any decent summer weekend. Arrive early morning or plan to launch midweek.
Shallow Ramp Launch
Single-lane dirt ramp suited for small boats and kayaks. Don't try bringing anything much over 16 feet — the approach is tight and the ramp is unimproved. Water's clear enough to see bottom, so at least you can spot what you're rolling into.
Small Lake, Big Quiet
Goose Lake is a compact paddle lake, not a powerboat destination. Kayakers and canoeists love a full loop around it. You'll see loons, turtles, and eagles if you go early morning. Fishing is mostly small panfish — don't expect trophy bass, and stocking is basically nonexistent.
Rustic Means Rustic
No electric, no dump station, vault toilets only. The campground road is maintained dirt but not exactly smooth — low-clearance trailers should take it slow. It's a great launch point if you're already camping here, but not really worth the drive as a standalone day-launch spot.
