Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Channel Needs Dredging
The channel out to Lake Erie is narrow and has been silting in. If you're running anything with real draft, pay attention on the way out — it can get skinny, especially later in summer when water levels drop.
Massive Capacity
Ten lanes and over 300 trailer spots means this place handles volume. Even on a packed Saturday morning during walleye season, you're rarely stuck waiting more than one cycle to back in.
Big Boats Welcome
You can comfortably launch a 28-footer here. The ramp angle is solid, the approach is wide enough for larger trailers, and the docks give you room to tie off without playing bumper boats.
Fish Station Gamble
There's a fish cleaning station on site, but the power has a habit of being out. Don't count on it — bring a cooler and a fillet knife setup for the tailgate just in case.
Morning Is Your Window
This ramp stays busy through the day, especially weekends. Show up early morning and you'll have your pick of lanes and dock space. By mid-morning the parking lot starts filling and the launch line backs up.
