Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Gravel Washout Problem
The gravel approach hill washes out regularly, sending loose stone right down into the lake. The actual ramp surface is fine, but that hill above it gets sketchy — take it slow backing down, especially after heavy rain.
Rarely Crowded
Twenty-two trailer spots and one lane is plenty for this little lake. I've never had to wait for the ramp, even on summer weekends. It's more of a local's spot than a destination.
Wild Drop-Offs
The lake goes from ankle-deep to seriously deep in just a few feet — both off the ramp and along shore. Great for launching since you won't bottom out, but keep it in mind if you've got kids wading nearby.
Evening Bite Is Real
If you're fishing, get here around dusk. The shoreline action picks up like crazy right after dark, especially jigging. Not a ton of underwater structure, but the weed edges hold fish. Expect company on warm summer evenings — the fishing crowd knows about this spot.
