Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Pothole Gauntlet
The approach road to the ramp is riddled with potholes — take it slow, especially with a loaded trailer. Low-clearance vehicles and smaller tow rigs will feel every one of them.
One Lane Bottleneck
Single lane ramp with only 5 trailer spots means you do not want to show up at the same time as a tournament group. Even a small club event with 10-15 boats will turn this into a logistical nightmare trying to stage launches and pullouts.
Dock Is Nice Though
There is a dock, which is a bonus for a launch this small. Makes it easy to tie off and move your truck without blocking the single lane, so use it — courtesy matters here more than most places.
True Hidden Spot
This isn't a launch most people seek out, which is exactly why it works on summer weekends when bigger lakes in Montcalm County are packed. Expect a quieter, less pressured lake, but don't expect any amenities beyond the basics.
