Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Finding It Is Half the Battle
The signage getting in here is practically nonexistent. You're navigating unmarked two-tracks through Langston State Game Area land, and even locals overshoot it. Pull it up on satellite view before you go — don't trust your GPS to get you to the actual ramp.
Tiny Operation
One lane, two trailer spots — that's the whole show. If somebody's already parked with a trailer, you're improvising. This is a small-boat, canoe, or kayak kind of launch. Don't try bringing anything over 16 feet in here.
Rough Access Road
The road in is unimproved and can get soupy after rain. A truck or SUV handles it fine, but a low-clearance sedan towing a trailer is going to have a bad day, especially in spring when everything's soft.
Worth the Hassle for Solitude
The upside of this place being hard to find and barely developed is that you'll likely have the whole lake to yourself. Quiet water, decent fishing, and almost zero boat traffic. If you want a peaceful morning on a small Montcalm County lake, this is it.
