Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Steep & Shallow
The ramp drops off at a serious grade, then you hit surprisingly shallow water at the bottom. If you're launching anything bigger than a 16-footer, you'll be working for it. A smaller aluminum boat or kayak is the sweet spot here.
Tiny Lot, Plan Ahead
Two trailer spots — that's it. If someone's already there with a trailer, you're basically blocking the access road. Weekday mornings you'll have it to yourself, but on summer weekends even two rigs is a crowd.
Smallmouth & Pike Water
Solid smallmouth bass lake with plenty of pike in the 18- to 24-inch range mixed in. Don't come expecting trophies, but you'll stay busy. The pike especially seem to be everywhere.
Quiet Gem, Not A Secret
This is a small, peaceful lake surrounded by longtime cottage families — some going back to the '70s. It's not a destination launch; it's a locals' lake. Respect that vibe and you'll have a great time. The community here is genuinely welcoming.
