Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Annual Pass Only
There's no daily launch fee option — it's $40 for an annual pass, period. A kiosk on-site takes credit cards and spits out your permit tag. If you're just visiting for one day, that stings, but it does keep the place uncrowded and well-maintained.
Weeds Pile Up
Weeds collect heavily on this end of White Lake, especially mid to late summer. Jet skis and jet boats really struggle with it. If you're running an outboard, you'll be fine once you push through, but expect to clear your intake a time or two near the ramp.
Algae On The Ramp
By late summer the concrete gets slippery with algae growth. Water shoes are basically mandatory — I've seen guys go down hard in flip-flops. The ramp itself is a touch steep too, so traction matters on the walk back up.
Big Rig Friendly
Six lanes with three double-sided docks, and the facility handles large boats on multi-axle trailers with no issues. If you've been turned away from Muskegon launches for running a bigger rig, this is your answer. Forty-five trailer spots in a separated lot, plus a car-only section so it stays organized.
Tricky To Find
The location is tucked in an odd spot and signage won't do you any favors. Plug the address into GPS rather than trying to follow road signs or you'll end up circling. Once you're there, it's about a 10-minute run through the inlet to reach Lake Michigan.
