Tiny Lot Fills Fast
Six trailer spots is all you get. On summer weekends, if you're not there by 8 AM, you're parking on the shoulder or turning around. Weekday mornings are a different story — you'll usually have the place to yourself.
Small Lake Charm
Robinson is a quiet little lake managed through Newaygo State Park, and it feels like it. One lane, no frills, but it works fine for small boats and kayaks. Don't try bringing anything over 18 feet — the turnaround area is tight.
Fishing Pressure Shows
This lake gets hit pretty hard relative to its size. The bass and panfish are still there, but don't expect what the old-timers remember from the '80s. Early spring before the pressure builds is your best window for decent catches.
Low Boat Traffic
The upside of the small launch and limited parking is that boat traffic stays manageable even on nice days. If you want a peaceful paddle or a quiet trolling session, this beats the bigger Newaygo County lakes by a mile.
