Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Small Ramp, Small Lake
One lane with a concrete pad that handles kayaks, canoes, and small boats just fine. Don't bring anything much over 16 feet — the approach is tight and the lake itself doesn't warrant it.
Eight Spots Fill Fast
Only 8 trailer spots, so on a Saturday morning in summer you might be out of luck by 9 AM. Weekday mornings are a different world — you'll practically have the place to yourself.
Undeveloped Shoreline
No houses, no docks, no development on the lake at all. It feels like you've stumbled into the backcountry, not Oakland County. That's the main draw here over busier launches nearby.
Decent Panfish Water
Bluegill, sunfish, and pike are the main players. It's not a trophy lake, but it's a solid spot to drop a line without competing with 30 other boats. Perfect for a quiet afternoon with a kid or a buddy.
Ramp Grade Worth Noting
There's a noticeable incline on the approach that can get slick when wet. Two-wheel-drive trucks handle it fine in dry conditions, but after a rain you'll want to take it slow backing down.
