Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Brutal Entry Road
The road into the launch is torn up badly — potholes, crumbling pavement, the works. Go slow, especially with a trailer. It'll rattle everything loose if you're not careful, and lower vehicles can bottom out in spots.
Parking Confusion
Officially listed as no trailer parking, but there's space to work with once you're down there. It's informal and unlined, so on weekends you'll be jockeying for position. Weekday mornings you'll have no issues.
Solid Small-Lake Fishing
255 acres keeps the pressure manageable. Bass and crappie are reliable, and there are pike cruising around too. The inlet to the left of the ramp is worth exploring in a kayak or small boat — quiet water, especially on weekdays.
Ramp Itself Is Fine
Two-lane concrete ramp in decent shape — the launch is honestly the best part of the whole setup. The problem is everything between the main road and the water. Once you survive the drive in, getting on the lake is quick and easy.
