Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
No Real Ramp
There are zero designated lanes here — you're basically hand-carrying or muscling a small boat down to the water. The parking area is a solid hike from the shoreline, so plan on schlepping gear a fair distance.
Crazy Shallow
The water near shore is only 2-3 feet deep. If you're running anything with a real draft, you'll be dragging bottom immediately. The east half of the lake barely hits 3-4 feet; the west side has more depth but you've got to get there first.
Tricky Loading Spot
There's a dock, but the grade at the water's edge drops off unevenly. You've got to nail one specific sweet spot to load or unload a trailered boat without the trailer nose-diving. Miss it and you're fighting gravity.
Small Boat Only
This is a canoe, kayak, or jon boat situation — not a place to bring a 18-footer. Between the long carry from parking, no trailer spots, and the shallow water, anything bigger than a tinny is going to be a headache.
