Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
One Way In/Out
The single access drive means you're sharing the lane with everyone launching AND loading. On hot summer weekends, expect to sit 15-20 minutes just waiting your turn. There's no loop, so if someone's slow on the ramp, the whole line backs up.
Ramp Has Issues
There are holes in the concrete you'll want to dodge when backing in, and parts of the ramp feel like they're sinking into the lake. The low end can get submerged and slick — I've seen people lose their footing on the dock and one guy went straight into the water. Take it slow walking down there.
Parking Fills Fast
Only two trailer spots on paper, and while there's a bit more room than that, once the lot fills they shut it down — no overflow, no shoulder parking, you're just turned away. Weekday mornings are no problem, but Saturday by 9 AM on a hot day you're rolling the dice.
Weekdays Are Worth It
This lake has a real up-north feel — towering white pines, no public beach, all private shoreline — and during the week it's genuinely peaceful. The attendant at the booth just wants to see your Recreation Passport. Midweek you can launch a smaller boat or dinghy with zero wait and have the lake practically to yourself.
Tight For Bigger Rigs
The maneuvering area is snug, so if you're running anything over 18 feet you'll be doing a lot of small adjustments backing in. Totally doable with a jon boat or small fishing rig, but a bigger setup with a inexperienced driver is going to hold up the line.
