Despite the listing saying Lake Superior, you're actually launching into the Chocolate River here. This is kayak, canoe, and small johnboat territory — don't show up with a 20-footer expecting open water access.
Zero Trailer Parking
There are no dedicated trailer spots, full stop. If you're trailering a small boat, you'll need to drop it and find street parking or a pulloff nearby. Most people hand-carry here.
Kayak Crowd Magnet
This launch is a popular starting point for paddling the Chocolate River, so weekends in summer get busy with kayak groups staging and loading. Early morning or weekday launches avoid the congestion.
Nice Amenities Though
For such a modest launch, it's surprisingly well-maintained — vault toilet on-site and the little town of Marquette (Ontonagon County, not the bigger city up the coast) is quiet and pleasant. A solid no-fuss put-in if you're paddling.
