Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
No Real Ramp
There's no actual boat ramp here — zero lanes, zero trailer parking on-site. This is strictly a carry-in situation for canoes and kayaks. If you're trailering anything, look elsewhere.
Parking Hike
Closest parking is up on 21 Mile Road, about 900 feet away. That's a decent schlep if you're hauling gear, especially with a loaded kayak. Bring a cart or a buddy.
Pond Got Drained
The millpond was drained back in 2021 and never really recovered as a fishery. Used to hold solid perch, but now it's mostly a picnic spot along the Middle Branch River. Don't come here expecting productive fishing — those days are behind it for now.
Nice For A Stop
It's a pretty little spot for a lunch break or to let the dog stretch, but that's about all it is these days. No bathrooms, no playground, no real facilities. Think roadside park with water, not destination launch.
