Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Small Lake Vibes
This is a quiet little lake — don't come expecting big game. You'll catch rock bass and panfish, but it's more of a peaceful paddle-and-cast spot than a serious fishing destination.
Trailer Parking Tight
Only 10 trailer spots and one lane, so if even a handful of people show up on a Saturday morning, you're jockeying for position. Weekdays you'll practically have the place to yourself.
Winter Access Works
The lake does freeze up for ice fishing most years, but it can be late December or even January before the ice is safe. Don't rush the season — Osceola County lakes can be unpredictable early winter.
Best For Small Boats
One lane, no frills — this is a launch for jon boats, canoes, and kayaks. Anything over 16 feet is going to feel silly here. The lake itself is small enough that a trolling motor is all you need.
Wildlife Worth The Trip
Even when the fishing is slow, the waterfowl activity in summer makes it worth sitting out on the water for a while. Herons, ducks, the occasional osprey — it's a good spot to just be outside.
