Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Ramp Ends Early
The concrete planks stop at the waterline — below that it's gravel. If the lake's down even a few inches, you're grinding your trailer on loose stone. Smaller aluminum boats do fine, but anything heavy can dig in on the pull-out.
Jumbo Perch Spot
This lake is known for jumbo perch, and they're the main draw. Hit up Buck Country Bait and Tackle for minnows before you come out — that's what produces here.
Tight Operation
Seven trailer spots and one lane means you need to be efficient. Weekday mornings you'll have the place to yourself, but a summer Saturday with three or four rigs and it gets awkward fast. No real overflow parking nearby.
Keep It Small
This is a small, quiet lake with a no-frills launch — perfect for a 14-foot jon boat or a canoe, not the place to bring a 20-foot bass boat. The whole vibe here is low-key fishing and shore cookouts, not tournament staging.
