Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Car-Top Only
There's no real ramp here — zero lanes, zero trailer spots. You're carrying or carting whatever you're putting in. Kayaks, canoes, and small inflatables are about all that makes sense.
Decent Bass Lake
Don't let the size fool you — Little Crapo holds some solid largemouth. Five-pounders come out of here, even from shore. A small boat or kayak gives you access to the whole lake without much effort.
Easy To Miss
Signage is minimal and the access point blends into the surroundings. If you're not looking for it, you'll drive right past. Pull it up on GPS before you head out — don't count on road signs to guide you in.
Low Pressure Water
With no trailer launch and limited parking, this lake sees almost zero boat traffic. That's the whole appeal. If you want a quiet morning with a rod and a kayak, this is your spot over the busier Otsego Lake launches nearby.
