Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Best Ramp on Otsego
This is the go-to launch for Otsego Lake, and it's not really close. Two lanes with double docks that are in great shape — way better maintained than the alternatives you'll find around the lake.
Weekend Chaos Factor
The ramp itself is smooth, but weekend afternoons bring out a crowd that's in a hurry and not always sober. Keep your fenders out and don't leave your boat tied to the dock unattended while you park. Mornings are a completely different, calmer experience.
Parking Math
46 trailer spots sounds generous, but 8 of those are overflow near the park headquarters building — a decent walk from the ramp. On holiday weekends and tournament days, the main lot fills by 8 AM and you're hoofing it from overflow. Weekdays you'll have your pick.
State Park Entry Fee
This is inside Otsego Lake State Park's day use area, so you need a Recreation Passport or daily pass to get in. Easy to forget if you're used to free DNR launches. The upside is the facilities — clean outhouse right by the ramp and a swimming beach nearby if you've got family waiting.
