Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Truly Hidden Spot
This place lives up to its name — tucked away in Hoeft State Park, off the beaten path, and most people don't even know it's here. If you want solitude on the water, this is it.
Small Boats Only
With one lane and six trailer spots, this is strictly small craft territory. Think jon boats, canoes, kayaks — don't try hauling anything over 16 feet back here. The ramp fits the lake.
Bank Fishing Friendly
Even if you don't bring a boat, the shoreline access is solid for casting. Decent spots right near the launch area without having to bushwhack.
No Beach Access
There's no public swimming beach on Lost Lake, so if you're planning a combo trip with the family, manage expectations. It's a fishing lake, not a recreation beach destination.
Parking Fills Fast-ish
Six trailer spots sounds tight, but honestly the traffic here is so low you'll almost always find a spot. Weekend mornings in summer are the only time you might see company, and even then it's maybe two or three rigs.
