Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Watch for Stumps
There are submerged stumps near the bridges that'll ruin your day if you're not paying attention. Keep your motor trimmed up when navigating those stretches, especially at lower water levels.
Parking Is Never an Issue
Ninety gravel spots for a two-lane ramp on a river this size means you'll pretty much always find a place to park. Even on holiday weekends I've never seen it more than half full.
Solid Panfish Spot
This stretch of the Tittabawassee is quietly productive for panfish. It's a calm, low-traffic section of river — perfect if you want to put a small boat in and work the banks without dealing with a crowd.
Keep It Simple
Don't expect amenities beyond a single porta potty and a basic ramp. There's no dock, no fish cleaning station, and only a small wooden sign marking the place. Easy to drive past if you're not watching for it on Center Road.
Litter Creeps In
The launch area picks up trash from other users, especially on weekends. It's a nice spot that deserves better — just be ready to kick a few cans out of the way at the ramp.
