Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Canoe/Kayak Only
No actual ramp here — it's a carry-down access point, so leave the big boat at home. Perfect for canoes, kayaks, and small inflatables you can muscle to the water's edge.
Tiny Parking
Two trailer spots and that's it. If someone's already there with a vehicle and trailer, you're basically out of luck. Midweek you'll have it to yourself, but weekend mornings can be a coin flip.
Name Says It All
The road in earns its name — tight, winding, and not exactly well-marked. First time finding it can be an adventure. Take it slow, especially if you're towing anything.
Float Trip Staging
This works best as a drop-in point for a float down the Manistique. The river here is gorgeous and mostly gentle — great for a long paddle south. Coordinate a pickup downstream or run a shuttle vehicle ahead of time.
