Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Tricky To Find
The turnoff isn't well-signed, and first-timers regularly blow past it. Plug the exact address into GPS — don't try to follow road signs or you'll end up on someone's private drive.
Sand-Covered Ramp
The concrete ramp has a good 20 feet of sand buildup on it. You'll get down fine, but it can feel slippery under your tires on the pull-out. A heavier tow vehicle helps. Depth at the end of the ramp is actually decent, so at least you're not scraping bottom.
Tight Parking
Six trailer spots is all you get, and that fills fast on summer weekends — sometimes by 8 AM. There's no real overflow area, so if you're bringing a trailer, get there early or plan a weekday trip. The turnaround area itself is generous, though, so maneuvering isn't the issue.
No Dock, No Help
There's nothing to tie off to once you launch, so solo launches mean either beaching the boat or having someone hold it while you park. Kayaks and small boats are dead simple here, but bigger rigs take a bit more choreography.
Wake Restrictions
Morning and evening no-wake zones are enforced to protect fishing. If you're coming out to ski or tube, you've got a limited midday window. Honestly, this is more of a fishing and kayak lake — quiet water, not a lot of boat traffic, and surprisingly good bass action along the shoreline.
