Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Lily Pad Gauntlet
Lily pads creep in along the edges of the channel leading from the ramp to open water, especially by midsummer. The channel itself stays clear enough to push through, but keep your prop trimmed up until you're past them.
Parking Fills Fast
Six trailer spots on paper, but realistically you're fitting 3-4 rigs comfortably in the unimproved lot. On a warm Saturday, even a small lake like Reynolds will have that lot full by mid-morning. No real overflow option nearby.
Small Boats Only
This is a one-lane ramp on a small lake — think Jon boats, kayaks, and modest bass boats. If you're running anything over 18 feet, you're going to feel silly out there. The lake gets recreational traffic from tubers and pontoons, so weekday mornings are your best bet for peaceful fishing.
Bluegill Honey Hole
The ramp channel is loaded with small bluegills stacked up right off the dock. Great spot to bring a kid with a worm and a bobber — they'll be catching fish before you even tie off the boat.
