The Hernando Pool's Ramp
Two concrete lanes, fixed docks, 32 trailer spots, free and open 24 hours near Lake Hernando's park shore — the workhorse access for the chain's northern pool.
Where the Forecast Points
FWC's current outlook singles out the Hernando Pool for bass — plastic worms and weedless frogs worked shallow along the vegetation. The chain's TrophyCatch résumé (273 lunkers, 125 trophy-class, 6 Hall of Fame) says the follow-through is real.
Its Own Water
Like every pool on the chain, Hernando is sealed off by water-control structures — no boating through to Inverness or Floral City. What it gives you instead is a big, fertile, learnable pool with the county park, beach, and festival grounds at your back.
