Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
The North Gate
The last Florida ramp before Georgia: one lane at the SR 2 (Herman Talmadge) bridge, which is also the northern limit of the FL/GA reciprocal license zone. North of the bridge you're in straight Georgia water — check your license situation before you run upriver.
Old Ground
The site carries deep history — a Creek village stood here until 1818, then a steamboat port with hotel and warehouses. Today it's a free county day-use park: flush restrooms, 18 paved spots, picnic ground, and the quietest launch on the Florida shore.
