Water DepthNot published by any agency. What is published is the lake stage, and it was low: 58.5 ft NAVD88 on 19 July 2026, about 1.4 ft below the 59.9 ft regulation schedule. Expect less water on the concrete than two lanes suggest, and walk the ramp before you back a heavy rig down.
DockNo dock is confirmed. FWC’s inventory records the dock type at this site as unknown and the county’s page does not describe one, so plan to hand-launch off the concrete with a bow line and a helper. If a courtesy dock has been added since the survey, treat it as a bonus rather than a plan.

Crowding One ramp on 1,799 acres, and the county describes parking for about five trailers on roughly one passive acre. That is a small site, but it serves a lake no boat can enter from anywhere else, so the pressure is entirely local and entirely weather-driven. Spring-spawn weekends and holiday mornings will fill it; a July weekday will not. FWC’s survey records two lanes, which is the one thing here that gives you any margin.
Plan B — if this lot is full There is no second ramp on Lake Gentry — Smith’s Landing is the only public access on the lake, so if it is full or gated your options are all on DIFFERENT water. The C-Gate 33 Boat Ramp off Hickory Tree Road (CR 534) is the closest at under two miles by road, and it has a dock, but it is a DIFFERENT lake in a DIFFERENT pool: it launches into the C-33 canal above the S-60 spillway and reaches Alligator Lake, not Gentry. You must trailer to it, and no boat passes S-60 in either direction. Farther out, the Trout Lake Public Boat Ramp on Bass Highway is about eight miles off, also in the Alligator pool, also a trailer trip, and it has no dock at all.

The Only Door on Lake Gentry
One county ramp, two lanes of concrete, gravel parking for about five trailers, a light, and nothing else — that is the complete public access to 1,799 acres. FWC’s full 26-site Osceola County inventory contains no other ramp, no fish camp and no private facility on this lake. There is no ramp B here, so make the go/no-go call in the driveway. Do Not Promise Yourself a Dock
FWC lists the dock type here as unknown, and the county's page doesn't describe one either. Rig before you back down, bring a bow line and a second pair of hands — a courtesy dock is a gift, not a plan. Accessibility is also unrecorded, so don't count on ADA access without calling first.
Sunrise to Sunset, Not 24 Hours
Hours: sunrise to sunset (county park hours). FWC's inventory says 24 hours, but the county owns the gate and its posted hours govern — a gate-closed surprise seven miles south of St. Cloud is a long evening. The two official addresses also disagree (4542 vs 5424 Lake Gentry Road, digits transposed) — navigate to the coordinates.
What You Get, and What You Don’t
Everything you can see from this ramp is your day: Lake Gentry, all of it, with no structure in the way. What you cannot do is leave. S-60 above the lake and S-63 and S-63A below it are spillways with no navigation lock — SFWMD lists none at any of the three — so Alligator Lake is a two-mile tow and Cypress Lake is a longer one. The upside is a lake nobody arrives at by accident.
