Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Launch Onto the Beds
Whaley's isn't just a ramp — it's a named fishing spot. The scraped spawning flats that anchor Toho's trophy story start essentially at the end of this dock, and a very short ride puts you on some of the best bass water on the lake. In shiner season, that head start matters.
Bare Bones, On Purpose
Two paved lanes, a dock, an unimproved lot for about a dozen trailers, and nothing else — no restrooms, no lights, limited parking. It's clean and it works; it just assumes you came to fish, not to picnic.
24-Hour Access
Open around the clock, which makes it the southeast shore's night-launch option and the pre-dawn choice for anglers wanting first light on the flats without the Lakefront tournament scene.
Dead-End Directions
From US 192: south on Old Canoe Creek Road, right on Kissimmee Park Road, left on Lake Tohopekaliga Road, and follow it until it dead-ends at the water. Development is creeping toward the road in, but the landing itself is unchanged.
