Lock-Day Base Camp
One lane, launch and staging docks, five trailer spots, free, 24 hours — run by the same district that operates the lock a few hundred yards away. No ramp on either chain launches you closer to the system's connecting chamber.
The District's Own
The Lake Region Lakes Management District — established 1919, keeper of the canals, the lock, and three of the chain's ramps — maintains this door personally. Questions about the lock, the levels, or the system: 863-293-1441.
Small Lot, Big Range
Five spots suit the traffic: north-siders, lock adventurers, and dawn patrols. From this water, twenty-plus lakes open in both directions.
