Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
The Fishing-Report Ramp
When The Ledger's weekly Polk County fishing report gets to Lake Pierce, the intel is phoned in from right here — Jennings' is the lake's report station of record. One concrete lane with a proper launch dock, $5 in the drop box, and a peaceful, low-key pace.
Camp Comforts
Lakefront RV and tent sites, cabins, boat rentals and monthly stalls — and a detail traveling anglers appreciate: electricity at the tie-up area for charging batteries (regulars suggest bringing a 50-foot cord).
North-End Water
You launch a short idle from the lake's north-end grass lines, with the open crappie middle straight south. Between here and Cherry Pocket, the north shore is the working half of Lake Pierce — the county's two-spot ramp on the west side is the quiet third.
