Bass Capital's Front Door
Two free concrete lanes at Sunrise Park — 105 Cypress Ave, behind the middle school — with a launch dock, a separate relaxing dock, real parking, picnic grounds, and 24-hour access. The city built its 'new ramp' properly, and launching stays easy even on a busy morning.
Crabbing Is Normal Here
The picnic-and-dock crowd runs trotlines and crab traps off this shoreline — freshwater blue crabs are a Crescent Lake tradition, and nobody blinks. Follow FWC's recreational crab rules and join one of Florida's odder, older fisheries.
No Night Lighting
The one catch: no lighting for the 24-hour privilege. Dark-thirty launches are legal and popular — bring your own lumens and mind the dock edges.
