Lily Lake

Lily Lake sits in the central Clare County lake region near Budd Lake, which is the larger and more developed neighbor. The area is part of the broader Muskegon River watershed in central Lower Michigan.

Lily Lake's very shallow depth means it freezes early and solidly in winter. Ice fishing for bluegill and panfish is feasible, though the lake's small size and shallow profile limit what's available under the ice. Always check ice thickness — shallow lakes can also develop weak spots near weed beds and springs.
