Pretty Lake

Pretty Lake is part of a small chain of interconnected lakes in Luce County, linked by navigable channels and short portages. Paddlers can access at least two other lakes from Pretty Lake without a vehicle, making the system a notable canoe and kayak circuit in the eastern UP.

Pretty Lake freezes reliably and has a long tradition of ice fishing. The small, shallow character of the lake means solid ice typically forms early in the season. Always check local conditions before heading out.
