Crowding Six trailer spots and a long drive from anywhere keep pressure light — this is the quiet corner of the Upper Basin trophy cluster. If the lot's ever full, it's probably a good panfish quarter.
Plan B — if this lot is full Nothing else launches onto this water — and mind the map: the sandy 10-HP launch 500 meters north is Three Forks Marsh, DIFFERENT water. Real alternatives are all different lakes and a drive back out via US 441/15: Stick Marsh's Fellsmere Grade Recreation Area and the Headwaters Boat Ramp (check its 2026 first-full-week closures) to the east, or the Lake Kissimmee ramps on the Osceola side — Joe Overstreet Landing is the closest live big-lake option off Canoe Creek Road.

Bare-Bones by Design
One concrete lane in good-to-excellent condition, a launch dock, gravel parking for 6 trailers and 12 vehicles, a picnic spot — and that's it. No restroom, no lights, no fee, daytime use only. As of July 27, 2026 FWC's inventory lists it Open for Business. This is a bring-everything, pack-out-everything ramp; the town of Kenansville is the closest gas, food and bait.
The Fence Posts
The lake's official regulatory name — the S.N. Knight Tract — is the tell: this is flooded ranchland, and FWC warns of rows of submerged fence posts throughout the lake plus interior levees, all under about 3 feet of water. They're a hazard at speed and the best structure in the lake at trolling-motor pace. Idle until you know your lanes.
Getting There Is the Filter
FWC's directions are blunt: come in from the west off SR 441/15 — there's no through access from the Fellsmere side, so the famous neighbors 6–8 straight-line miles east are a long way around by road. The mailing address says Kenansville (Osceola County), the lake is Indian River County, and Brevard starts 500 meters north. Fuel up before the turn.
The 10-HP Trap Up the Road
Five hundred meters north on Fellsmere Road sits a sand-surface primitive launch marked 10 HP max, listed 'Needs Repair' — and it isn't this lake. That's the Three Forks Marsh Conservation Area launch, in Brevard County, on different water. Bass boats bound for Kenansville Lake use the concrete ramp; don't let the first launch you see off the road fool you.
