'Smaller Boats' Is in the Name
FWC's official name for this ramp carries the '(Smaller Boats)' parenthetical, and believe it: one concrete lane off Highway 90, three gravel spots, no dock, no toilet. On a lake that's historically 2-5 feet deep and walled in vegetation, small is the native size anyway.
The Gauge Ramp
The NWS lake gauge LMIF1 — 'Lake Miccosukee at US 90' — sits at this end of the lake, so there's no guessing: 75.32 ft NAVD88 on July 27, 2026, against a historical full-pool reference around 80 ft. Bookmark water.noaa.gov/gauges/lmif1 — observed-only, no forecasts, but live.
Roadside Door
Right off US 90 between Tallahassee and Monticello — the easiest ramp to reach and the one old fishing directories meant by 'the access on US 90 west of Monticello.' South-end water here funnels toward Lloyd Sink and its wooden weir, the quieter half of the lake's disappearing act.
