Rhoden Cove Landing

Also known as: Rhoden Cove Boat Ramp
Lake Jackson · Leon County, Florida
Last verified: July 27, 2026
Level-dependent launch: Lake Jackson has been in a drought dry-down since Porter Sink opened in late November 2025. The Miller Landing gauge (NWS LJKF1) read 77.55 ft NAVD88 on July 27, 2026 — roughly 2-3 ft below typical full stage (~80+ ft). Check the live gauge (water.noaa.gov/gauges/ljkf1) and call Leon County Parks (850-606-1470) before towing.
Not on FWC's July 2026 launchable list — at current levels expect this ramp to be high and dry for trailered boats.
FWC rates the ramp's condition 'Needs Repair' — inspect the surface before backing a heavy rig down.

Water DepthThe SE arm holds its own pool at low stage — the Lakeshore Drive gauge (LJTF1) read 79.01 ft NAVD88 on July 27, 2026, higher than the main basin but still below full. FWC does not list Rhoden Cove among the ramps launchable at current levels.

Crowding Eight trailer spots and picnic tables on the quiet SE arm — normally an easy launch, effectively idle during the dry-down.
Plan B — if this lot is full Crowder Road Landing (1 mi west) is FWC's named small-craft launch on this end of the lake; Miller Landing hand launch covers the north shore. Trailer boats needing certainty should point at Lake Talquin — different lake, stable water.

The Southeast Arm Door
801 Rhoden Cove Rd, off Meridian Road on the SE arm — one concrete lane, eight trailer spots, picnic tables, free. The arm pools separately from the main basin at low water, which is why the nearby LJTF1 gauge reads higher than Miller Landing's — but FWC still leaves Rhoden Cove off its working-launch list as of July 2026.
Mind the Concrete
FWC's inventory rates the ramp 'Needs Repair' — the only Lake Jackson ramp carrying that flag. With no dock and a worn surface, this is a look-before-you-launch site even in good water.
