Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
4x4 Required, Truly
Per FWC this is a small shoreline drop point off a forestry road: 4x4 required, hand launch or small boats only, little to no parking or turnaround, one trailer spot. Unpaved, no facilities, free. Bring a boat you can drag and a truck that can get back out.
The Solitude Payoff
A 370-acre forest lake with effectively private mornings — the fish here answer to weather, not pressure.
The Alternative
The campground canoe access is closed at last verification, and there is no plan B on this lake — Moorehead Park on Kerr (full service) is the twenty-minute civilized answer.
