Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
The Southern Corner
A tidy three-lane county ramp with floating docks at the lake's southern tip, near where the Bolles and North New River canals meet the rim. It's the launch for anglers working the southern bulrush lines and the rich south-end shoals.
Daylight Only
Unlike the big 24-hour ramps, South Bay runs sunrise to sunset — a real consideration on a lake this size, where a long run to the north end and back can eat the day. Watch the clock.
Small-Ramp Calm
With parking for only about 18 trailers, it's quieter than Clewiston or Torry Island — a plus if you'd rather avoid the tournament crowds and don't mind the daylight limit.
