Crowding One lane and a lot of parking, which is the wrong way round on a busy morning. FWC's inventory records a single concrete lane serving 26 trailer spaces plus two accessible, and 24 vehicle spaces plus two accessible — so the ramp itself is the bottleneck, not the lot. It is also the only public ramp on 5,872 acres and the campground's own launch, so spring spawn weekends and holiday mornings queue. Rig the boat in the lot, not on the lane.
Plan B — if this lot is full There is no second public ramp on Lake Hatchineha. Lake Cypress Public Boat Ramp is the nearest public alternative — it is a DIFFERENT lake (Cypress Lake) in the same undivided pool, so a boat already on the water reaches it through the C-36 canal, but from the parking lot it is a trailer trip of roughly 25 miles by road, and that ramp is sunrise-to-sunset only. Also a trailer trip, and a private resort rather than a public ramp: Camp Mack, The Old Florida Lodge, Marina, and RV Resort, 14900 Camp Mack Road, Lake Wales (863.696.1108) — on the C-37 connector between Lake Hatchineha and Lake Kissimmee, which FWC's inventory files under the Kissimmee River. The ramp is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with a published $6.00 fee and a self-serve pay box at the entrance. The Lake Kissimmee landings at Joe Overstreet and Coleman are trailer trips too.

In Polk County, on an Osceola Lake
The lake straddles the county line — per FDEP it lies in both Osceola and Polk — and this ramp lands on the Polk side by less than half a mile. What that means in practice: the operator is Polk County Parks and Recreation, (863) 438-0228, at 15050 Lake Hatchineha Rd., Haines City, not Osceola County.
Six to Ten, and One Lane
Polk County publishes ramp hours of 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.; FWC's inventory says 5 a.m., but that layer is a 2009 survey and the county owns the gate. Behind the single concrete lane sits paved parking for 26 trailers plus two accessible spaces — plenty of room, one door to get through it. Get there early on a weekend.
A Ramp With a Campground Attached
A county park, not a fish camp: 13 RV sites with partial hookups, a dump station, flush restrooms, showers, and apartment rentals at $70 a night, two-night minimum. Primitive camping is boat-in only, at the district's WMA sites along the C-37. FWC lists a $5 drop-box launch fee but Polk County publishes none — call (863) 438-0228 to confirm.
Where This Ramp Actually Gets You
Three lakes, no locks: C-36 north to Cypress, C-37 south to Lake Kissimmee, no structure on either canal. Lake Toho is a different pool behind the S-61 Southport lock, two basins up. Lake Gentry and the Alligator Chain can't be reached from this water. Camp Mack and Camp Lester are down on the C-37 and Kissimmee River reach, not the open lake.
