Full Service, All Night
Two concrete lanes, staging dock, twenty-one trailer spots, and — the rarity — flush restrooms at a 24-hour ramp, all free. For overnight missions and dawn patrols anywhere on the chain's middle, this Polk County facility is the class of the around-the-clock options.
The Crossroads Position
From this basin: south canal to Howard and the restaurant circuit, north canal through Idylwild to Jessie's seaplanes and Hartridge's lock, east canal (low bridge!) to Mirror and Spring. No ramp on the chain launches you closer to more different kinds of water.
Mind the Mirror Gate
The east canal's fixed bridge is the chain's lowest — small craft only. Everything else about this lake is forgiving; that one span is not.
