The State's Own Warning
FWC's inventory carries the warning verbatim: Severe Drop-off, Use at Own Risk. One concrete lane, no dock, one trailer spot. Small craft handled deliberately do fine — back to the water's edge, not past it — and anything precious launches at Cannon instead.
Small Boat, Big Reward
A jon or kayak slipped in here gets a dead-end lake of residential calm, uncrowded grass lines, and front-row seats to Jack Brown's floatplane traffic. The effort-to-solitude ratio is the best on the South Chain.
Aircraft Have the Water
The seaplane base operates daily — planes on the water hold absolute right of way, full stop. Hold clear of the northeast operating area, and treat an aircraft on approach as the event it is.
