Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Worn but Working
The concrete is real and the status is Open for Business as of July 2026 — but FWC's inventory stamps 'Needs Repair' on both the ramp and the gravel lot, and doesn't say when it looked. Read the edges before you back down, and don't expect the lot to be anything but gravel with opinions.
After Hours, County-Blessed
FWC's window is 5 a.m.–10 p.m.; the county's own page adds 'Boat launching and retrieval available after hours.' On a winter speck lake, that sentence is the whole amenity package — the pre-dawn bite is officially reachable.
Mud or Mudd
The county's page lives at 'mudd-lake-boat-ramp' and the Water Atlas agrees on the double D; the federal gazetteer and FWC's inventory spell it Mud. Same ramp, same water, off SR 33 at the lake's north end. Search either spelling and you'll get here.
