The Forest Service's own page confirms it: the campground "is adjacent to the Silver Lake Day-Use Area which has a picnic shelter and a boat ramp," and the agency publishes the area's hours and fee. What it doesn't publish is the geometry — lanes and parking are FWC-inventory-only. See below.
What You'll Pay and How
$2.00 per person — not per vehicle — at the gatehouse or the yellow Iron Ranger honor box; four people is $8.00. FWC's row matches the dollar figure but not the per-head basis, so a group budgeting from FWC underpays. Pavilion rental is a separate $20.00, capacity 60, vacate by 7:30 p.m. Bring cash.
