Crowding The Sunday-morning tournament owns the early lot once a week, and the big trailer field absorbs everything else. Weekdays, two lanes and fifty spots mean you launch alone more often than not.

Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Buzzard Beach, Officially
The sign says Tavares Recreation Park; everyone who fishes it says Buzzard Beach, and both are right. This is the southwest corner's two-lane, 24-hour, free workhorse on US 441 between Tavares and Leesburg — fifty paved trailer spots, launch and staging docks, flush restrooms, and a fishing pier. The nickname has held for generations.
The Sunday Tournament
The open buddy tournament that launches here Sunday mornings has run for well over a decade — show up early any Sunday and you'll find it, a rolling census of who's on the fish this week. Fish it, or launch after the field clears; it's the friendliest scouting report on the lake either way.
Corner of Everything
Position is the quiet asset: the Dead River to Lake Harris opens just west of here, the run across to the Dora Canal is direct, and the crappie drifts off this corner produce all winter. If your day involves more than one lake, this ramp starts you at the junction.
24 Hours, Full Service
Between the around-the-clock ramp, the pier, the restrooms, and the park around it, this is the default Eustis launch for pre-dawn starts, family days, and any morning the east-shore lot looks tight. The Dead River marinas a mile west cover fuel and bait on the way in.
