Trout Lake Canal Boat Ramp

Also known as: Lake Eustis–Trout Lake Canal Ramp
Lake Eustis · Lake County, Florida
Last verified: July 3, 2026
Small, dockless, and shallow-natured — this is jon boat, canoe, and kayak water, not a big-rig launch. The canal and Trout Lake edges carry vegetation and the usual alligator presence; sunrise-to-sunset hours only.

Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
The Small Door North
A single concrete lane off Highway 19 where the canal links Trout Lake to Lake Eustis — no dock, two parking spots, sunrise to sunset, free. It exists for the jon-boat and paddle crowd, and for them it's a quiet gift: two waters off one modest ramp.
Two Lakes, One Launch
North up the canal sits Trout Lake and the nature center's preserve country — intimate, birdy, electric-motor-paced water. South opens the main lake's northwest quarter, which puts a kayak within reach of the Gator Hole corner on a calm morning. Pick this ramp on the days the big ramps feel like the wrong energy.
Know Its Limits
Everything about the facility says small on purpose: no dock to load against, no restroom, no room for a tandem-axle trailer to turn around gracefully. Bring the boat that carries, launch early, and leave the ramp as quiet as you found it.
