Little Harris's Own Door
Astatula Park is the dedicated public launch for Little Lake Harris — a single concrete lane with a floating dock at the end of Florida Avenue, free and open around the clock. The quieter, grassier twin basin deserves its own entrance, and this unassuming county ramp is it.
The Grass Game
Little Harris fishes like the intimate Florida lake the main basin isn't: eelgrass and pad edges, quieter banks, sight-fishing pockets in the spawn. When tournament traffic churns the big water, the regulars slide through the narrows or just launch here and never leave the little basin at all.
Howey Views, Public Access
Across the water sits Howey-in-the-Hills — the 1920s mansion, the mission-style resort, the town waterfront whose own ramp is resident-annual-pass-only. This ramp is the public door to Howey's water; the evening light on that shoreline is worth the trip alone.
One Lane, Plan Accordingly
Nine trailer spots and a single lane mean this isn't the place for a group launch — Hickory Point's six lanes sit ten minutes north at the basins' junction when you need capacity. For a solo morning on quiet water, this is exactly the right size.
